Mumbai, May 26: Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan on Saturday extended a warm birthday greeting to celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar, who turned 53 on May 25. In a heartfelt post, the actor referred to Karan as a “ray of entertainment,” highlighting their growing camaraderie in the film industry.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Kartik shared a nostalgic throwback image from an IIFA practice session, where he and Karan were seen engrossed in a cheerful conversation, exuding laughter and warmth.
“Happy birthday to the ray of entertainment @karanjohar. Lots of love and happiness,” wrote Kartik, adding the soundtrack of his upcoming film “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” to the post.
The film marks Kartik’s first cinematic collaboration with Karan Johar, produced under the banners of Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. Helmed by director Sameer Vidwans, the romantic drama is set for a Valentine’s weekend release on February 13, 2026.
According to reports, the film will feature actress Ananya Panday opposite Kartik, reuniting the duo after their 2019 hit “Pati Patni Aur Woh.”
Recently, Kartik had taken social media by storm with his dashing new look for the film—short hair and a neatly trimmed beard—ditching the rugged appearance from his upcoming project with Anurag Basu. He captioned the transformation, “Ray is Raydyyyy #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri.”
Meanwhile, Karan Johar has also been making waves beyond the silver screen. The filmmaker has stepped into the audio space with his debut podcast “Live Your Best Life with Karan Johar,” where he engages in candid conversations with prominent personalities from various fields such as entertainment, wellness, entrepreneurship, and finance.
In addition, Karan will soon be seen hosting the much-anticipated Indian version of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning global reality show format “The Traitors,” which premieres on June 12. The show, produced by BBC Studios India in collaboration with All3Media International, will feature 20 popular celebrities competing in a game of trust and betrayal.
With both Kartik and Karan busy charting new territories in their respective careers, fans are eagerly waiting to witness their joint magic unfold on screen next year.
