New Delhi, May 25: A high-level meeting of NDA chief ministers and deputy chief ministers held in the national capital on Sunday saw the alliance unanimously adopt a resolution commending the bravery of the Indian armed forces and the “resolute leadership” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of Operation Sindoor.
The resolution, proposed by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, stated that Operation Sindoor had not only neutralized terror threats but also significantly boosted the morale and self-confidence of the Indian public. It also emphasized that the operation sent a clear and strong message to terrorists and their sponsors.
The conclave witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president JP Nadda. Nearly 19 chief ministers and an equal number of deputy chief ministers from NDA-ruled states participated in the one-day deliberations.
The resolution hailed PM Modi for his unwavering support to the nation’s armed forces and for guiding the country through challenging times with firmness and strategic foresight. "Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has responded with grit to external threats and internal challenges," the resolution read.
The meeting also marked discussions on key national topics including caste enumeration, the first anniversary of the Modi government’s third term, and issues related to good governance. BJP sources stated that a significant segment of the conclave focused on sharing best practices implemented in NDA-ruled states, with several chief ministers giving presentations on their flagship state-level schemes.
In a solemn moment, the leaders paid homage to the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, expressing solidarity with their families and a collective resolve to combat terrorism with unity.
The conclave is seen as a show of strength and coordination within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), as it lays out its roadmap for governance, security, and development in the coming years.
