SMVITM Bantakal signs MoU with Mirafra technologies to boost industry exposure, employability

Udupi, May 22: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mirafra Technologies, a leading technology consulting company specializing in semiconductor design services and embedded software development. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, providing students with practical exposure and enhancing their employability.

Under this MoU, Mirafra Technologies will conduct campus placement drives, offering employment opportunities to eligible students within the company. Additionally, the company will facilitate industry visits to its facilities, allowing students to gain first-hand experience of industry practices and technologies.

Mirafra Technologies, headquartered in Bengaluru, has a strong presence in the semiconductor and embedded systems sectors, with offices in Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, the United States, Singapore, and Sweden. The company is known for its expertise in ASIC design and has a team of over 1,000 engineers delivering innovative solutions across various industries.

This collaboration is expected to provide students with valuable insights into the latest industry trends and practices, preparing them for successful careers in technology and engineering.

The MOU was formally signed in the presence of key representatives from both institutions. Vinod John, vice president, Hardware Engineering represented Mirafra Technologies during the signing ceremony. Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) was represented by professor Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Educational Institutions; Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of SMVITM; Dr Ganesh Aithal, vice principal; Dr Sudarshan Rao, dean of quality assurance; Dr Nagaraj Bhat, dean of academics; and Arun Upadhyaya, head of the department of electronics and communication Engineering.
