VP Dhankar begins 3-day Goa visit, to interact with coast guard, farmers

Panaji, May 20: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar arrived in Goa on Tuesday for a three-day visit, where he was received at Dabolim Airport by governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and union MoS Shripad Naik.

On May 21, Dhankar will visit Mormugao Port in Vasco to interact with the port’s senior staff and later meet Indian Coast Guard officers onboard a Coast Guard ship.

The following day, he will unveil statues of Charaka and Sushruta at Raj Bhavan, honouring the pioneers of Ayurveda and surgery. He will also visit the ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute in Old Goa to engage with scientists and farmers.

The vice president is scheduled to return to New Delhi on May 22.
