KTM revamps pricing: RC 200, 250 Duke, 390 Duke witness steep hike amid market adjustments

New Delhi, May 16: Renowned Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer KTM has announced a price hike across its popular motorcycle range in the Indian market, citing inflationary pressures and rising input costs as key factors behind the revision.

Effective immediately, several KTM models, including the RC 200, 250 Duke, and 390 Duke, will see an increase ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 12,000. The sharpest hike has been observed in the KTM RC 200, which now comes at a revised price of Rs 2.33 lac (ex-showroom), up by Rs 12,000 from its previous price of Rs 2.21 lac.

The RC 200 competes in the premium 200cc segment, taking on strong contenders like the Hero Karizma XMR, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Yamaha R15 V4, and Suzuki SF 250.

The KTM 250 Duke and RC 390 have both witnessed a uniform hike of Rs 5,000. The 250 Duke now carries a price tag of Rs 2.30 lac (ex-showroom), while the RC 390 is set at Rs 3.23 lac. These models continue to be strong players in the 250cc and 390cc segments, locking horns with rivals such as the Hero Xtreme 250R and Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Interestingly, the 390 Duke has only seen a marginal increase of Rs 1,000, now priced at Rs 2.96 lac (ex-showroom). This comes after a recent price reduction of Rs 18,000, which had brought down its cost from Rs 3.13 lac to Rs 2.95 lac.

The move to revise prices falls in line with industry-wide adjustments as manufacturers recalibrate to keep pace with market dynamics and economic fluctuations.

Bike enthusiasts and prospective buyers are advised to check with local dealerships for updated prices and availability.
