New Delhi, May 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Indian Air Force’s Adampur base in Punjab on Tuesday, where he interacted with soldiers and air warriors, praising their unmatched courage and service to the nation.
Addressing the gathered personnel, PM Modi described the iconic slogan "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" as far more than just patriotic words — calling it a symbol of national pride and a source of fear for India's adversaries.
"‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ is not just a slogan. It is the solemn pledge of every soldier ready to sacrifice their life for the motherland. It is the voice of every citizen devoted to serving India,” he said, drawing resounding cheers from the troops.

He emphasized the role of India’s military might in reinforcing national pride and deterring threats, noting how every successful strike deepens India’s resolve.
“When our drones breach enemy defenses and our missiles hit with precision, the enemy hears only one thing — Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” he added.
PM Modi also hailed the recent success of Operation Sindoor, crediting the Armed Forces for the operation’s impact and symbolic importance. Without naming specific targets or countries, he referenced the ongoing tensions and reaffirmed India's firm stance against threats, including those involving nuclear blackmail.
“Whether it’s from the ground or the sky, your courage has created a new chapter in India’s history,” he told the soldiers. “Even decades from now, when India's valor is remembered, your contribution will be one of the most celebrated.”
The Prime Minister concluded his address by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the forces and their families, acknowledging the nation’s collective support during the high-stakes operation.
“Every Indian stood behind you during Operation Sindoor. The prayers of the entire nation were with you. Today, we are all proud and indebted to your courage,” he said.
