Mumbai, May 8: Popular actress Riddhi Dogra, who portrayed the pivotal role of Kaveri Amma in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, has said that being recognised by Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee is one of the biggest highlights of her career. The actress, who has steadily risen in the entertainment industry, said this acknowledgment in itself feels like a significant victory.

In a candid conversation with IANS, Dogra spoke about her experience working in Jawan and how the film proved to be a turning point in her journey. “After Jawan, people began calling me Kaveri Amma, and that just shows how deeply the role connected with viewers. What made it even more special was that Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee now know who I am — for me, that’s a big win,” she shared.

Known for her versatile performances in television and OTT content, Riddhi also recounted how she joked with friends about playing Shah Rukh’s mother on screen. “I always say — and I hope Shah Rukh takes this in good humour — that I’m such a die-hard fan, I’d happily play his mother if it helps make him look younger and more fabulous on screen. He’s got a great sense of humour, so I’m sure he gets it,” she said with a smile.

Opening up about her latest digital project Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs, which premiered on May 2 on JioHotstar, Dogra said the role offered her a refreshing change. “The character in Kull was unlike any I’ve done before. She’s self-centred, strong-willed, and unapologetically focused on her own goals. It was liberating to play someone who isn’t weighed down by others’ emotions — which is usually the case with the characters I portray.”

The show also features Nimrat Kaur, Amol Parashar, and Charudutt Sharma in prominent roles and is already gaining attention for its gripping narrative and strong performances.

Riddhi Dogra, who first earned fame through television serials like Maryada, continues to captivate audiences across platforms. With acclaimed roles now in both films and web series, her journey reflects a steady rise built on talent, resilience, and adaptability.

“Every project, every role has taught me something new. And I hope this is just the beginning of more meaningful collaborations,” she concluded.
