Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises guest talk on Women’s Day

Mangaluru, Mar 7: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the BCom department of the Institute of Management and Commerce organised a guest talk on ‘Life skills required for Today’s women’ on March 7. The session, conducted for first-year BCom students, aimed to equip young minds with essential life skills to help them navigate personal, academic, and professional challenges effectively.

The session was led by Dr Preethy Keerthy D’Souza, a distinguished expert in women’s empowerment, leadership, and personal development. With her vast experience in mentoring young women, she provided valuable insights into key life skills essential in today’s fast-paced world. Another major focus of the session was decision-making and problem-solving skills, where Dr D’Souza discussed ways to develop analytical thinking and resilience in challenging situations.

She also spoke about time management, helping students understand how to balance academics, personal commitments, and career aspirations efficiently. Additionally, she motivated students to cultivate leadership qualities and self-confidence, urging them to take up leadership roles in various fields.

The session was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically participating in discussions, sharing experiences, and asking insightful questions. Dr D’Souza provided practical advice and real-life examples, making the talk engaging and relatable.
