'Vozram Motiam' Released in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 1: 'Vozram Motiam' a treasure of Konkani Songs produced by Mandd Sobhann Vol 8 composed by most renowned Konkani Kala Ratna Award Winner and Karnataka Rajyostava Award winner Eric Ozario was released in national capital New Delhi by the spiritual director of Kanara Cultural Association, New Delhi and diocesan youth director Fr Chetan Machado, on Sunday January 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 10 am.

Fr Chetan Machado while releasing the music CD composed by Eric Ozario expressed great satisfaction and considered it an honour to offer the same to all the Konkani speaking people of Delhi. He said with pride that he is an ardent admirer of Ozario’s music, and that the songs sung by Ozario have always been world famous and have made him a household name in the Konkani music world.

He also noted the enormous service and contribution that Ozariosingle-handedly done for Konkani music specially folk music and Konkani culture as a whole. He recalled with gratitude the 2010 programme of 'Vovlik' organized by KCA New Delhi in collaboration with Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore, which was a great hit; organized at the Delhi’s Constitutional Club as part of the curtain raiser for the 1st World Konkani Convention, wherein the Ozario couple sang some unforgettable and memorable Konkani folk songs, greatly admired by the gathering and even Sheila Dikshit, CM, New Dellhi was mesmerized by his magical voice.
 
Vincent Menezes, the dynamic president of KCA, New Delhi, Dr Edward Mathias, treasurer of KCA, Elias Pinto, executive committee member and his wife Milgrade Pinto and Wilfred D’Souza, ex-general secretary of KCA were present at the CD launch ceremony.
