Sharad Yadav Opposes Lokpal Bill

New Delhi, Dec 27 (IANS): Janata Dal-United leader Sharad Yadav Tuesday sought to debunk the civil society campaign led by activist Anna Hazare, saying not a single Dalit or backward class person is involved in it. He also protested against the attempt to portray every legislator as corrupt.

"Not a single Dalit, Adivasi or backward class is involved in this. Who are these people?" Yadav said, indicating that the anti-corruption movement was a motivated one.

He was participating in Lok Sabha debate on the Lokpal bill.

Opposing the Lokpal bill which has been tabled in parliament, Yadav cautioned against painting every government servant or legislator as corrupt.

He said parliament has many honest people who are not involved in corruption in any way.
