Udupi, May 22: To resolve the ongoing mobile connectivity issues experienced by residents in various parts of Paduthonse village over the past few months, the villagers, with the cooperation of the panchayat president and vice president, organized a meeting at the Kemmannu panchayat hall.

During the meeting, a temporary committee was formed. Discussions were held regarding potential solutions and methods to address the network issues.

As per the opinions shared during the meeting, the landowners of the current tower location were approached and requested to temporarily restore mobile connectivity to alleviate the locals' issues. Initially resistant, they agreed to allow the mobile tower to operate for the next few months after persistent requests. However, they stipulated that the responsibility to dismantle and relocate the mobile tower from their land would rest with the committee, in cooperation with the panchayat. This condition was accepted by the meeting.

The committee, with the support of the panchayat, decided to overcome the obstacles at the identified new location and to bring a new mobile tower into existence.

The need for a new mobile tower was acknowledged, and the committee agreed to assist in locating a suitable site.

Damodar Jattan, Saukur Ashfaq, and the remaining panchayat members from the four affected wards were included in the temporary committee, forming a fully-fledged committee.

A decision was made to submit a petition to the deputy commissioner regarding the village’s mobile connectivity issue.
