Puttur, May 20: An auto-rickshaw driver died when his vehicle overturned at Padmunja near Uppinangady in the taluk on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh (32), son of Koragappa, a resident of Ilanthila village.
He was carrying passengers in the vehicle. Fortunately, the passengers escaped with minor injuries.
Dinesh is survived by his mother and brother. He was unmarried.
In addition to driving an auto-rickshaw, Dinesh worked as a pigmy collector at a cooperative bank in Uppinangady.
