Mangaluru: Young author Reshel Fernandes launches her inspirational book at Press Club

Mangaluru, May 6: A book written by a young author, writer, orator, thinker, and researcher at the age of 21, Reshel Bretny Fernandes, was released on Monday, May 6 at the Press Club. She is a student of SDM Law College, Mangalure. The book, "Essays on Collective Topics" by Tanisha Publications, Delhi, is now available on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, priced at Rs 290.

At the beginning, Rolphy D'Costa welcomed all and gave a brief note about the book and the author, introducing the guests to the gathering.

Afterward, Reshel shared her experience in writing the book and provided brief information about it, thanking all who supported her. Reshel had harbored a dream since childhood, inspired by reading other authors, that one day she would become an author herself and inspire others through her writing. Encouragement from a KAS officer affirmed her capability and motivated her to write, intending to convey a message to society and the youth to develop in all areas. She also expressed gratitude to Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, Disha Bharat, and Samartha Bharata for their continuous support and for providing her with platforms to come forward. Additionally, she thanked the almighty and her parents for their unwavering support.

Later, the book was released by the guests together. Present at the event were Rolphy D'Costa, former president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore; Krishnamurthy, principal of Govinda Das College; Raghuraj, principal of Gokarnata College; Walter Menezes, member of Rotary Club Mangalore; Annapurna, lecturer at Government PU College Haleyangadi; Flavy, Ladyhill PU staff; and Reshel's parents.

Following the book release, Krishnamurthy, principal of Govinda Das College Surathkal, spoke a few words, congratulating the author and highlighting Reshel as a role model for youths, whose activities will always support people's development through her writings.

Annapurna also congratulated Reshel and expressed pride in the women empowerment happening in society, noting Reshel's contribution to it through her writings.

Walter Menezes congratulated the author and remarked that the book carries a vibe that would contribute to the betterment of society, appreciating Reshel's remarkable achievements at a young age.

Furthermore, it was decided to present the book to Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Dr Peter Paul Saldhana, and others.

Lastly, Rolphy thanked everyone for their participation and support.
