Mangaluru, Apr 22: MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty criticized the state government for appeasing minorities and allegedly supporting jihadis. He also stated that there is no guarantee for the safety of Hindus, Dalits, and women under Congress rule.

Addressing the media on Monday, April 22 at the BJP office in Mangaluru, Dr Y Bharath Shetty said, "The Congress government promised guarantee schemes and came into power. If, after one year, not even a single guarantee has been implemented successfully. In Karnataka, there is no guarantee for the feelings of Hindus and the safety of women. The problems from jihadis have significantly increased, and the law has completely turned a blind eye. Neha Hiremath, a student hailing from Hubballi, was brutally murdered in broad daylight, and the statements from the Home Minister of Karnataka and Siddaramaiah clearly indicate that they have no interest in saving women and are engaged in appeasing politics for the vote bank. Despite Neha's father being a Congress corporator, the leaders of Congress did not visit his house to show their support. The BJP party visited the Congress corporator's house to show solidarity with the family. The Congress party is involved in supporting fringe elements, and in Kodagu, a party member who was working on the campaign was brutally murdered by people of the minority community, and no action or investigation was conducted against them. In Yadgir, a Muslim individual killed a Dalit person, and no one is addressing it, demonstrating that the Congress party only thinks about how minority appeasement will help them win elections."

He further added, "On Ram Navami in Karnataka, youths were stopped and forced to chant 'Allahu Akbar.' A youth was killed only because he made a song praising Modi. Protesters in Lakshmi Narayan were attacked, urinated upon, and forced to say 'Pakistan Zindabad.' Harshika Poonacha and her husband have stated that we are in Pakistan and this is our real situation."

He also highlighted, "In Haveri, a gang rape took place, and many such incidents occurred, but those cases were closed. In Kolar, a Congress politician had a sword in his cutout. Karsevak faced false allegations during the Ram Mandir inauguration. The Bajrangbali flag was removed, and slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' were raised at Vidhana Soudha. A shopkeeper who was playing the Hanuman Chalisa in his shop was brutally attacked.

"The Congress party is unable to provide a guarantee for peace and women's safety. During Siddaramaiah's last tenure, around 3,600 farmers committed suicide, and in the past year alone, approximately 600 farmers have lost their lives. Congress party leaders have callously remarked that farmers are dying because they receive compensation. There is only a guarantee for love jihad and support for fringe elements and extortion. No significant development has taken place in Karnataka over the past year, and the funds allocated for MLAs have been delayed. The Karnataka Home Minister's insensitive actions make it evident that the Congress party is engaged in vote bank politics," he said.
Regarding the hatred being spread in advertisements, Dr Bharath Shetty said, "The BJP has reached millions of households and provided them with toilets, electrification, and water facilities. Highways are expanding, and over the past decade, we have opened many colleges and schools across the country every week. Today, our economy stands at 3.8 trillion dollars, and India ranks 5th in terms of economy. The Congress party has failed to fulfill its promises made in the first budget, and there is no guarantee that the initiatives outlined in the second budget will be implemented. The Congress party refuses to disclose the real figures and only presents inflated numbers. If the Congress party wishes to debate this issue, we are open to it, and we invite their economic experts for a constructive discussion."

Nitin Kumar, Premananda Shetty, Sanjay Prabhu, Manohar Shetty and others were present.
