Mangaluru: DPDPPSPGFGC organizes workshop on cyber crimes

Mangaluru, Apr 19: The joint workshop of commerce and humanities association on the topic, ‘Awareness of Cyber Crimes and how to use Internet Safely’ was held on April 19 at 3 15 pm in room no G 10.

It is very important during the present time to be really aware of the cyber traps and the stress related to it. Moreover, every teenager is on the internet and it becomes very important for them to know as to how they can remain safe in this age of technology.

Robinson D’Souza, Ethical Hacker and Founder CyberSepains Mangaluru was the resource person of this workshop. He emphasized on the relevance of the topic, two factor authentication, account privacy, cyber bullying, cyber stalking, online dating, sexting, section 69A, social engineering, dos and don’ts while on the internet and much more with the students. The session was indeed very resourceful with many students asking quality questions to the speaker.

Around 54 students participated in this workshop and benefited out of it. Louis Manoj, coordinator of Commerce Association introduced the resource person and spoke on the relevance of the workshop and future plans of the association and Naseema Begum, coordinator of humanities association proposed the vote of thanks.
