Nominations of 3 candidates for Udupi – Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha seat rejected

Udupi, April 5: The scrutiny of nominations for the Udupi – Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency was held at the deputy commissioner’s office auditorium, Rajatadri on Friday, April 5.

As many as 13 candidates had filed 19 nominations. The nominations of three candidates among them were rejected.

The district election officer and deputy commissioner Dr K Vidya Kumari announced that the nominations of ten candidates were in order.

The nominations of independent candidates K R Kusuma, Raj Ballal and H Suresh Poojary were rejected.

The nominations of Indian National Congress party candidate K Jayaprakash Hegde, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kota Srinivas Poojary, Bahujana Samaja Party’s K T Radhakrishna, Janahita Party’s candidate Supreet Kumar Poojary, Karunada Sevakara party candidate Shabareesh R, Karnataka Rashtra Samithi candidate L Ranganath Gowda, Proutist Sarva Samaja party candidate M K Dayananda, Uttama Prajakiya party candidate Sachin B K and independent candidates Sudheer Kanchan and Vijayakumar were found to be in order.

Election observer Hithesh K Koel, additional deputy commissioner Mamata Devi G S, candidates and agents of the candidates were present.
