Udupi, Mar 29: Former zilla panchayat president Gladys Almeida quit the BJP and joined the Congress on Friday, March 29.
 


 
In the workers' meeting held at Kapu, Rajeev Bhawan, former minister, KPCC campaign committee chairman Vinay Kumar Sorake, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha candidate K Jayaprakash Hegde, Congress leaders M A Gafoor, Shirva Gramin Congress president Melvin D'Souza and Prashant Jattana, Gladys Almeida accepted the party flag and joined the Congress.
