Karkala: Rs 2.25 lac cash stolen from house

Karkala, Mar 26: Thieves entered the house of Jagadeesh B A, resident of Kukkundoor village in the wee hours of March 25 and decamped with Rs 2.25 lac cash that was kept in the cupboard.

As per details, Jagadeesh and family members went to sleep at 10 pm on March 24 after securing the door of the house. Around 3.40 am on March 25, Jagadeesh heard sound of door opening of bedroom. As he got up and checked, he found that the wooden latch of the window by the side of the bedroom was broken and the bedroom door was half open. On checking, Jagadeesh found that the other room in the house was ransacked and cash of Rs 2.25 lac was stolen.

A case in this connection is registered in Karkala city police station.
