Mangaluru: Award ceremony, Student Council installation held at Yenepoya Dental College

Mangaluru, Mar 24: The Student Council of Yenepoya Dental College conducted Annual Day and Student Council Installation on March 22 in the Dental College Auditorium at 10 am.

Principal Dr Laxmikanth Chatra, dean Dr Sham S Bhat, vice principal Dr Hasan Sarfaraz, dean of Student Affairs Dr Maji Jose, secretary of the Islamic Academy of Education Dr Akhter Husain and the chief guest Dr Vinitha Ramanath Pai, director – PhD Center were present on the dais.

The dean welcomed the gathering followed by an address from the chief guest. The under graduate academic toppers of the previous university examination of I, II and III BDS were felicitated. The dignitaries unveiled the student council magazine Vaarnikah. Dr Laxmikantha Chatra delivered the presidential address. The secretary of the student council Ayesha Ayub read the annual report followed by speech by the outgoing president Farah Khan.

The new members were inducted by the staff advisor Dr Varsha Upadya and oath was administered by Dr Hasan Sarfaraz. The incoming president Ahmed Thaha addressed the gathering which was followed by a vote of thanks by incoming secretary Aysha Munha. Council members Ziya Zulekha and Arunima Shyam compered the event.
