Mangaluru, Mar 23: Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre celebrated International Women's Day with the theme 'Invest in women: Accelerate progress' at Srinivas University Mukka Campus. 

The guest of honour for the programme was Prathibha Kulai (chairperson of Kulai Foundation, former corporator) congratulated the lady members of Srinivas Hospital on the occasion of International Women’s Day. She said the main objective of the celebration of Women's Day is to create awareness about the significant contribution of women to society and to emphasize the importance of the rights and honour of women in the society. She stressed the importance of female education and women empowerment.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao presided over the programme. Srinivas University board of governors trustee member Prof Mitra S Rao, Freeda D'Souza, manager-operations, Dr Reshma Pai, dean - dental sciences, Dr Anitha Sequeira, professor & HOD of general medicine, different departments HODs and staffs were present.

Dr Prithvi compered and proposed the vote of thanks.
