Udupi, Mar 20: “BJP candidate for Udupi – Chikkamagaluru is the leader of opposition in Vidhana Parishad and he has his term for another 4 years as well. He has an existing opportunity to serve the people. BJP could have given ticket to Pramodh Madhwaraj, CT Ravi, Uday Kumar Shetty or even to Halady Srinivas Shetty” said Sudhir Kumar Murolli in Udupi on March 20, 2024.
He further stated, “The party has given ticket to someone who has not even asked for it. Shobha Karandlanje has openly stated that she has not allowed to give ticket to those who initiated movement against her. This means just like Shobha Karandlanje an irresponsible person has been given ticket. Udupi – Chickmagaluru should not suffer due to the internal politics of BJP. Kota Srinivas Poojary has a constitutional position at present and he also has a term of another four years let him serve the people through this. Shobha Karandlanje never visited her constituency even during floods, covid and other calamities. We faced yellow leaf disease but she didn’t attend us. Congress didn’t say ‘Go back.”
“We are aspirants until the moment the party announces the candidate” said Sudhir Kumar Murolli, Congress spokespersons in Udupi after attending a Congress meeting along with Jayaprakash Hegde on March 20.
“We were aspirants but we are not rivals. Until the party announces the candidate will be aspirants. Once the candidate is announced we will all work together for the party candidate. It is the internal thing of our party” he added.
“Congress is a family. We all welcomed Jayapraksh Hegde when he rejoined our party. He is our own party member. It is right to ask for the ticket but once the ticket is officially announced we all will be working for the party candidate”.
Speaking about the electoral bonds Sudhir Kumar Murolli said, “Supreme court respecting the feelings of the electorate and upholding the dignity of the court has directed the SBI to provide all the information of electoral bonds. But SBI is denying to provide the details. Among 30 major donors to the BJP around 15 corporate organizations faced raids from IT, ED, and other central agencies just weeks before they did the donations. BJP is received donations from Pakistan based company and also from a company which built the tunnel in Uttarakhand resulting in death of 40 persons. A khotti gaming company has donated Rs 1,000 crores to BJP. 90% of donations are received by BJP alone. The real face of ‘Na Khavunga Na Khan dunga’ once all the details are furnished” he said.
