Udupi: Five-day faculty development programme ‘Utkarsh’ held at SMVITM

Udupi, Mar 19: IQAC in association with ISTE faculty chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, organized 5 days faculty development programme ‘UTKARSH'. The FDP was inaugurated on March 18 in the college premises. Faculty from SMVITM and various colleges participated in the FDP. The resource persons were Bhagavan S K and team from BNMIT Bengaluru.

During the inauguration of FDP Bhagavan S K said, “To teach 21st century students’ teachers must be equipped with all skillsets to meet their needs, to work towards success of the institution. The teaching learning is a continues life long process.”

Rathnakumar, secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi was the chief guest and said, “We are fortunate to have such eminent personalities as speakers in this FDP.”  He also said modern technology has made the student get information very fast but at the same time the students are becoming dependent on modern gadgets. He appreciated the principal and IQAC for organizing this FDP.

Dr Thriumaleshwara Bhat, principal presided over the ceremony and said that being faculty have got major role to play to educate the youths of future generation. He said such FDP will improve faculty skills in helping the students. Also, he appreciated the faculties of this institution for their well-planned and organized work.

Dr Sudhashan Rao, dean IQAC welcomed the gathering, Shashikala, senior assistant professor, ECE department proposed the vote of thanks. Akshatha Rao assistant professor from ECE department was the master of ceremony.
