Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates graduation day for kindergarten students

Mangaluru, Mar 19: Carmel School, CBSE Mangaluru celebrated the graduation day for their young kindergarten graduates on Saturday, March 16 at in the School Auditorium.

Dignitaries including Lugina Miranda, the chief guest, Sr Maria Smitha AC, joint secretary, Sr Lilly Pushpa, principal and Sr Premal, vice-principal, led the procession of tiny tots dressed impeccably in their graduation robes. Accompanied by their class teachers, the young graduates took their seats, filled with pride and joy amidst the attention lavished upon them.

 

The event commenced with a prayer service by the LKG students, followed by a warm welcome speech from teacher Margaret. The audience was treated to a mesmerizing welcome dance performance by the LKG students, captivating everyone present. The annual report, presented by teacher Sharol, provided glimpses of the year's events. Fathima and Veeralaxmi conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the kindergarten faculty for their nurturing care over the past two years, echoed by Khadeeja Nouha Safwan, a student from UKG A section, who expressed thanks to the principal, teachers, and support staff.

Led by Sr Lilly Pushpa, the principal, the young graduates took their oath, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. They then serenaded the audience with the graduation song, followed by a thank-you song, expressing gratitude for the support received over the past two years.

Teacher Margaret introduced Lugina Miranda, the esteemed chief guest, a renowned psychologist. In her message to the parents, Miranda emphasized the importance of actively listening to their children and shared insightful examples to drive her point home.

Amidst a backdrop of appreciation, the graduates were honoured with certificates and medals. Principal Sr Lilly Pushpa commended the kindergarten teachers for their outstanding performance and praised the children for their exemplary disposition during the event. She also congratulated the parents for their unwavering cooperation and support towards the institution. She acknowledged their pivotal role in the holistic development of the students and expressed gratitude for their continued partnership.

A touching moment arose with the felicitation of teacher Margaret Monteiro, who retired in the month of January. Words of gratitude were eloquently delivered by teacher Evita D'Souza, marking the end of an era. The programme concluded with the resonating notes of the school anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance. Teacher Shanthi Pinto skilfully guided the proceedings as the programme's emcee, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for everyone involved.
