Mangaluru: St Agnes College conducts ‘Hands-on Workshop on Data Visualization’

Mangaluru, Mar 18: The postgraduate department of Big Data Analytics at the Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru conducted a ‘Hands-on Workshop on Data Visualization’ on March 16.

The resource person was Malani D'Souza, data analyst at UniCourt India, Mangaluru who is also an alumna of St Agnes College.

The participants were fourth semester students of the department MCom. Malani commenced the session with examples to demonstrate the significance of analysing and visualizing data effectively by creating audience specific graphs and also on the importance of graph choice.

The workshop included various examples implemented by the participants using data visualization tools to gather interactive insights visually through different types of dynamic graphs and charts. The student coordinators of the workshop Sara Sheik and Achyutha Shreesha made efficient arrangements for the workshop. The participants enthusiastically took part in the workshop and interacted with the resource person and also gathered insights on the diverse opportunities of data analytics.
