Kundapur: Man loses Rs 2.12 lac in credit card fraud

Kundapura, Mar 17: Pratap (45), a resident of Hangaluru, fell victim to a credit card scam, losing Rs. 2.12 lakh to unknown fraudsters.

Pratap, who holds an ICICI Bank credit card, received a reward point link from Google. Upon clicking the link, he entered his credit card details. Within 15 minutes, Rs. 98,000 was transferred from his account to the stranger's account. Subsequently, Rs. 1.14 lakh was withdrawn from his account.

The Udupi Cyber Police are currently investigating the matter.
