Udupi: CSI Lombard Memorial Hospital organizes annual sports day

Udupi, Mar 17: CSI Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital and Group Institutions hosted its much-awaited annual sports competitions on March 16, at Christian P U college grounds. 

The event kicked off with an inspiring inauguration ceremony at the college grounds, illuminated by the sports torch lit by Kishore Kumar of CSI Jubilee Church, Udupi.

Distinguished guests including principals Dr Suja Karkada, Veena Menezes, Dr Roshan Pais, vice-principal Dr B N Peralaya, Lombard Hospital administrator Deena Prabhavathi, and Hospital Chaplain Rachel D'Silva graced the occasion. The day was filled with spirited competitions, both for students and staff, under the guidance of sports teachers Damodar and Santhosh Shetty.

In the evening's closing ceremony, the esteemed presence of state and national sports champion, Sandra Ancilla D'Souza of Udupi, added grandeur to the event.

Damodar and Santhosh Shetty were the judges for the competitions.

Rohini Shenoy extended a warm welcome and Hemalata Bangera offered heartfelt felicitations. The event was compered by Reena D'Souza, Risha and Sarah.
