Mangaluru: Mangala College bags top spot in ranks awarded by RGUHS

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences has retained the top spot this academic year also under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).

In the dialysis degree section first rank is bagged by Rachana, while the second rank is shared by Manisha and Aishwarya Acharya. In the operation theatre technology, Aparna Uchil secured third rank while Pansngiat got ninth rank. In Anastasia technology Hitesh Kumar bagged fourth rank, while Roobiya Sherin secured fourth rank in imaging technology.

In the comprehensive list of three years Hitesh Kumar secured third rank in second year anaesthesia technology. Roobiya Sherin secured fourth, third and ninth rank in the first year imaging technology. Bhavya secured third rank in the second year imaging technology and third rank in the third year. Shahala Kera secured third rank in second year Imaging Technology and 10th rank in third year. Rachana got second year in first year of dialysis, first rank in second year and third rank in third year. Manisha got third rank in the first year of dialysis section and second rank in second year. Chaithra secured ninth rank in second year Operation Theatre technology and Aparna Uchil secured 10th rank in second year operation theatre technology and eighth rank in third year.

Operation theatre technology section, health inspector section, Opthalmolic technology section secured 100% result. Dialysis section, Medical records section and Medical imaging technology got 99% result.

In the medical lab technology 89% pass percentage is achieved. Including all section eight students of first year, 19 students of second year and 21 students of third year have cleared the examinations with distinction.

Six students of Physiotherapy College cleared the examination. In the last yar 76 students wrote the examination and 64 got passed with a pass percentage of 84.21.

Out of the students of New Mangala College of Nursing six students passed with distinction, while 31 students achieved first class.

Mangala Educational Institution has all facilities and infrastructure. It has given priority to the physical and mental development of the students. The institution has artificial turf ground, volleyball, and cricket and football grounds. In addition, it has got Shuttle Badminton and Tennis ground that are imported from Italy made of special wood carpet. Mangala educational institution is known as the best institution of Karnataka with regards to paramedical and allied health sciences.

Founder president Dr Ganapati P and president Dr Anita G Bhat and academic advisor Dr Mohiddin Nafsir opined that the institute grew to great heights due to excellent laboratory, ultra-modern classroom facility and highly qualified and experienced faculty.
