Mangaluru: St Aloysius to hold first-of-its-kind ‘Aloysian Fest 2024’ on Mar 16

Mangaluru, Mar 9: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) is thrilled to announce the much-awaited and a grand ‘Aloysian Fest 2024’, a national level undergraduate fest blooming forth in all its splendour on March 16 in the campus. It is the first-of-its-kind in its glorious history of 144 years and a unique first such event after the college attained the status of Deemed to be University wherein all the postgraduate departments are hosting their annual fests on a single day. 

The Aloysian Fest aims to provide a platform for students from different parts of the country to showcase their extraordinary skills, incredible talents and innovative ideas through a wide range of events, competitions and performances.

The fest is a confluence of seven fests:

The Aloysian Fest is being organised under the patronage and guidance of Fr Melwin J Pinto SJ, the rector; Dr Praveen Martis SJ, the vice-chancellor (in-charge) and Dr Alwyn D’Sa, the registrar & COE. The fest has in its advisory committee - Dr Loveena Lobo (director, Maffei Block), Dr Ronald Nazareth (director, LCRI Block) and Dr P P Sajimon (dean, PG studies) to provide with necessary suggestions. The staff coordinators, Dr Florin Shelomith Soans and Dr Nilakanthan V K, assistant staff coordinators, Renita Fernandes and Jovita Carrol Soans, student coordinators Paul D’Costa, Nuthan M M and assisted by Delma D’Cunha and Roshan as a team have been planning meticulously to let no stone unturned for the success of the fest.

The magnificent Aloysian Fest 2024 promises to be an unforgettable experience, fostering connections between the young minds, inspiring their hidden creativity and celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity among the student community. More than 80 colleges all around the country are expected to be part of the fest. The Aloysian festive vibes are already seen in and around the city. The fest is set to create an exhilarating experience like never before. It is not just an event but a celebration of students’ boundless capacity for innovation and expression.
