Mangaluru, Mar 8: A session on fruit and vegetable carving was held on March 7 was held at Dr P Dayananda Pai - P Sathisha Pai Government First Grade College.

The resource person of this session was Denzil Celestine D’Costa, HoD of hospitality science at Milagres College, Hampankatta. Mangaluru.

Denzil demonstrated and created many designs for the benefit of the students and also involved students in making out some simple creative ones.

Display of different kind of Knives used for designing and carving and used in the kitchen was a sight to watch. A basket out of a pumpkin, designs using beetroot, carrot, watermelon and radish was quite a treat for all the students.

As a part of vibrancy among commerce students and making right choices in their career, this session was conducted to encourage all the artistes and designers in our college. Also, interested students and teachers joined this session and enjoyed every moment of it.

Prema, third BCom D batch introduced the speaker and Varnashree, third BCom C and Commerce Association secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Around 75 students and 10 teachers participated in this programme.
