Udupi MLA should not act childish, give importance to devt: Ramesh Kanchan

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Mar 7: Ramesh Kanchan, president of Udupi block Congress committee said, “MLA of Udupi Yashpal Suvarna has a long way to go in politics. He should give up his childish activities and pay more attention towards development of the constituency. He should know that people have voted him for development.”

Kanchan further said, “Every citizen has got right to protest under democracy. But it is not right to instigate in the name of protest. It is really cheap act of Suvarna as an MLA to spit on the photograph of senior social worker M G Hegde in the heat of protest.

“Mentality that everyone’s thoughts should be same is not right. This is detrimental to the society. The MLA has the responsibility of considering people of every religion and caste as one and work towards their harmony. A leader should build a cultured society and be a role model. Instead if he gives opportunity for provocation it makes the younger generation to follow the path of violence in future.

“Forgetting that he is a responsible MLA, acting very cheap will be dangerous to society. People of the constituency expect Suvarna to pay more attention towards the development of the constitution,” he said.
