Kundapur: New president of Udupi district BJP Kishore Kumar felicitated

Kundapur, Feb 3: The new president of Udupi district BJP B Kishore Kumar Kundapur was felicitated by Kundapur BJP mandal at the party office on Saturday.

Vidhan Parishad opposition leader Kota Srinivasa Poojary said, “Although the state did not get a majority this time, the party is strong enough to win all the 5 constituencies in Udupi district. The work of strengthening the party from the booth level as well as empowering it should be done by the district president. This post of district president is an important position in the district itself and the party should witness victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha, gram and taluk panchayat and municipal elections under the new president.”

Kundapur MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi said that the people of Kundapur are happy to get the post of district president. He said that he will help the party organization in every way as a legislator.

Kundapur Mandal president Shankara Ankadakatte presided.

Accepting the honour, district president Kishore Kumar said, "This was unexpected. A constant relationship with activists has brought it to this point.” He said that he is indebted to all the seniors and juniors who helped in getting this responsibility.

Mangalore co-in-charge Rajesh Kaveri spoke. OBC Morcha state secretary Vithala Pujari Irodi, district secretaries Sadananda Balkur, Anita Sridhar, SC Morcha district president Gopal Kalanji, municipal councillors, party leaders, mandal officials and workers were present.

Mandal general secretaries Suresh Shetty Gopadi welcomed and Satish Pujari Vakwadi compered the programme.
