Udupi: Trinity Central School, Peramplalli holds Parents' Sports Day

Udupi, Feb 1: On January 27, the campus was abuzz with the presence of excited and energetic group of parents as they participated in the ‘Parents Sports Meet’ held at Trinity Central School.

The event commenced with a formal inauguration of the Sports meet by Dr Daisy A L Vas, retired physical education director, Dr T M A Pai College Of Education, Udupi, who was the chief guest of the day. She was accompanied by the president of the programme Fr Robin Victor D’Souza, executive secretary, Capuchin Education Board, Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, principal, Fr Ravi Rajesh Serrao, the administrator and the vice principal and Magdelina Lewis, the academic co-ordinator.

As Trinity Central School is on the festivity of Crystal year, enthusiastic set of parents participated joyfully marching to the rhythmic beats as well as lighting the torch symbolizing their active participation in the events. There were various events like track events of 80 mts for both male and female besides other individual events like shot put, long jump, hurdles and many more. Added to that there were team events like volleyball for men and throw ball for women which made the parents vie for the coveted trophy.

A friendly match between parents and teachers added charm to the entire event.

In the morning the PTA sponsored delicious breakfast and in the afternoon lunch was sponsored by the school.

There were also different food stalls organized by the staff of Trinity in which mouth savouring edibles which satiated the hunger of participants.

On the whole, the entire Trinity was filled with sportive atmosphere with the presence of parents and children in the school campus.
