Byndoor: Fisherman falls into river, dies

Byndoor, Feb 1: A man who went fishing in a traditional Pathi boat fell into the water near the bank of a river while returning at Shiroor Alvegadde on Wednesday.

The deceased is identified as Venkataramana Durgappa Moger (65), resident of Alvegadde.

Moger went fishing at 5 am on Wednesday. As he was returning in the evening, he fell into the river.

Moger died on the way to hospital. He is survived by wife, son and three daughters.
