Moodbidri: YIT inaugurates national level hackathon ‘Unscramble 2.0’

Moodbidri, Jan 31: The student’s association Yenartificia in association with the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning department of Yenepoya Institute of Technology has organized ‘Unscramble 2.0,’ a national level hackathon. The event was coordinated by Shadil Ebrahim, Ahamed Ashiq and Shanawaz. The event started with a spectacular inauguration graced by the presence of Lakshmi Shetty, campus relationship manager at Robosoft Technologies Pvt Ltd, Udupi, was the chief guest for the event. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr R G D'Souza, principal of YIT with a floral gesture welcomed Lakshmi Shetty to the event.

About the event

There were a total of 85 plus teams registered, out of which the best 20 teams were selected. The students from different states participated in the event.

Joining the inauguration were key figures from the institute, including Prof Mohammed Siraj, assistant professor in the department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning who delivered the welcome speech. Prof Prasanna Kumar, the head of the department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) graced the occasion with his presence. The campus administrative officer Mohammad Shahid presented a memento to Laxmi Shetty, chief guest of the event.

The lighting of the lamp ceremony marked the symbolic initiation of the event, accompanied by motivational insights from the chief guest and a visionary address by Dr R G D'Souza. Prof Ramya A efficiently coordinated the proceedings, ensuring a seamless flow of events.

The programme’s MC Afeef Ismail, a second-year student from AIML, skillfully led the proceedings, Ameeza introduced the esteemed chief guest. Simrah accompanied by Aysha delivered the annual report of Yenartificia, shedding light on the department achievements and milestones in the field of technology.

HoDs of various departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of AIML were present and graced the occasion.

The inauguration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by Afeef, expressing gratitude to all the participants, sponsors and organizers who contributed to the success of this momentous event.

As participants delved into the hackathon, the atmosphere was charged with creativity and enthusiasm, reflecting the institute's commitment to fostering a culture of technological excellence. The dynamic and insightful inauguration set the stage for an exhilarating national level hackathon at Yenepoya Institute of Technology.
