Mangaluru: Poetica silver jubilee poetry recital held

Mangaluru, Jan 29: Poetica, silver jubilee poetry recital, sponsored by MCC Bank, was held at the campus of MCC Bank.

Richard Moras, Takkode lighted the lamp and litterateur Dolphy Cascia inaugurated the event. 48 poets entertained the gathering in the sea of poetry through excellent poems.

While sharing the sweetness of poems with the audience in six lines throughout the day, Alwyn Danti Pernal, Dr Anny Dimple Castelino Kulshekar, C V Loretto, Roopesh Desai Goa, Maruti Dasannanavara Belagavi and Dr Flavia Castelino Manipal compered the event.

MCC bank chairman Anil Fermai, Walter Nandalike, Eric Ozario and Fr Roopesh Madtha extended their good wishes for the afternoon dais programme through their inspirational speeches. They also wished Poetica to celebrate Golden Jubilee soon. Many litterateurs, musicians, editors and well-wishers attended the programme as guests.

Anil Fermai was felicitated for his noble deed and achievement. Stephen Vaz Kelarai was honoured for the challenges he faced in his life. Lavi Ganjimutt and Salomi Miyapadav, Mogarnad were honoured for their effort to keep Poetica alive. Main sponsors of Poetica were also felicitated. All poets were given mementos.

Allwyn Pinto Derebail, Dubai, Hilary Tellis Karkala and Naveen Pereira Suratkal entertained the audience through their comedy. Ronald D’Souza and Simone D’Souza enthralled the audience through music.

Best poem award and cash prize donated by Christopher Roshan Lobo and Chrisben music was won by Edy Kaddos Takkode (Konkani) and Mansoor Mulky (Kannada).

Edy Kaddos compere the whole event. President of Poetica Naveen Pereira Suratkal rendered vote of thanks.
