Udupi, Jan 28: A grand horekanike procession was held at Jodukatte on Saturday evening on account of third Ashtapavithra Nagamandalotsava that will be held at the Karanika Sri Naga Sannidhya of Kediyoor hotel on January 31.

Seer of Kaniyoor Math Sri Vidyavallabhatheertha Sripada flagged off the procession carrying new Rajata Mantapa, Rajata Kavacha and gold plated Prabhavali with Rajata Bali murthy.

Swamiji of Kaniyoor Math said, “Naga God is adored by everyone. If there is any fault in the work we do, Naga God will show it directly, while others communicate to us indirectly. Let this powerful God bless everyone.”

Shiroor math seer Sri Vedavardhanatheertha Sripada poured flowers on the Rajata Mantapa, Rajata Kavacha and gold plated Prabhavali with Rajat Bali Murthy and blessed.

The procession began from Jodukatte and reached Sri Naga Sannidhya of Kediyoor hotel via Taluk panchayat road, old Diana Circle, city municipality and service bus stand. Various tableaus, Dollu dance, Chende instrument, bhajan groups increased the grandeur of the procession.

Honorary president of Nagamandalotsava organizing committee Dr G Shankar, MD of Hotel Kediyoor Bhuvanendra Kediyoor, Heera B Kediyoor, Brijesh Kediyoor, Bhavyashree Kediyoor, Abhin Devadas, Jitesh B Kediyoor, Priyanka Jitesh, The overall guide of Nagamandala and astrologer Vedamoorthy Kabiyadi Jayarama Acharya, chief secretary of committee Yuvaraja Salian Muscat, honorary guide Dr Vijayendra Vasanta Rao, vice president Ganesh Rao, Hiriyanna Kediyoor, treasurer Vilas Kumar Jain, eminent personalities like Dr Jerry Vincent Dias, Ananda P Suvarna, Ananda C Kunder, Jaya C Kotian, Hariyappa Kotian, Sadhu Salian, Venkataramana Kediyoor, Ramesh Kediyoor, Dinakara, Geetanjali Suvarna, Veena Shetty Mattu, Madhusudhan Kemmannu and others were present.
