Mangaluru: SCS Preschools celebrates 75th Republic Day

Mangaluru, Jan 27: SCS Preschools marked the 75th Republic Day with an extravagant celebration at the SCS Riverside Campus, long lane, Urwa. The event, graced by esteemed guests, highlighted the essence of patriotism and unity. 

Advocate Shridevi Amin, a distinguished figure, served as the chief guest, delivering a compelling Republic Day message. Emphasizing the significance of constitutional awareness, she urged every Indian to acquaint themselves with the Constitution of India. Advocate Amin passionately recited the Preamble, inspiring a sense of national pride among the attendees. Dr Rajneesh Sorake, president of SCS Group of Institutions, also shared profound insights into the importance of Republic Day.

The celebration featured a vibrant display of dance, music, and drill performances by students from SCS Preschools in Urwa, Bikarnakatte, and Padil. The campus radiated in the tricolour theme, creating a festive atmosphere that resonated with the spirit of the day. 

In a poignant moment, the school staff led a heartfelt prayer for peace and harmony through a soulful rendition of a prayer song, echoing the core values that our nation upholds. 

Anagha Bhandarkar and Katelyn Pais, both students of Mont 3, delivered eloquent speeches, shedding light on the historical significance and importance of Republic Day, adding an educational dimension to the celebration.

The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including Vinaya D'Souza, principal of SCS Preschools, Dr Kabbinale Balakrishna Bharadwaj, principal SCS First Grade College, Dr Shreepathi Rao, principal SCS P U College, Helen Lobo, principal SCS Riverside International Academy, and other esteemed guests.

Jayalakshmi extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and attendees, setting the stage for an engaging and delightful event. The vote of thanks was graciously delivered by Ashnitha, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The programme was skilfully compered by Venita. 

The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note, with all students joining in a united rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing the unity and pride shared as citizens of India.
