Mangaluru: Nitte University celebrates 75th Republic Day with zest, patriotism

Mangaluru, Jan 27: Nitte University marked its 75th Republic Day celebration, organized by the Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, at the K S Hegde Auditorium at 8:30 am.

Colonel A K Jayachandran, former Deputy General Manager of Canara Bank, Manipal, graced the occasion as the chief guest and addressed the students. The vice-chancellor, Dr M S Moodithaya, delivered the presidential address, while the university registrar, Dr Harsha Halahalli, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Dr Dhanesh Kumar, principal of the Physiotherapy Institute, proposed a vote of thanks. The event was skillfully conducted by Nishita Fernandez, and Ruchita Narsia, NSS officer, coordinated with the NSS wing.

Various functional directors and heads of constituent institutions were also in attendance during the ceremony, witnessing the active participation of approximately 650 university students.
