Mangaluru: Wrongful restraint, abuse reported at Shama Complex, Kashiya junction

Mangaluru, Jan 19: On the night of January 18, at approximately 8:30 pm, an incident unfolded at Shama Complex, Kashiya Junction.

Mahmood Saud, the proprietor of a Home Decor showroom, operates a back office on the first floor of Shama Complex, where 5-6 employees work.

At around 8:30 PM, after completing their work, employees Kajol, Nisham, Sawad, and Saud were leaving the complex when they discovered that Aslam, the owner of Shama Complex, had forcefully locked the ground floor shutter door, wrongfully restraining and verbally abusing them.

A distress call was made to 112 Hoysala, prompting the police to reach the location and facilitate the opening of the gate.

Based on the complaint filed by Mahammad Saud, Mangalore South Police Station registered a case under Cr. No 12/24, u/s 341, 504 IPC.
