Puttur: News about assault on Hindu activist giving Mantrakshate of Rama Mandira is false – Police

Puttur, Jan 16: The police department has in a press release clarified that the news of assault on a Hindu activist distributing Mantrakshate of Rama Mandira that was circulating in social media was false.

The department clarified that neighbours at Barekoladi, Mundoor village, Puttur have fought and assaulted each other in connection with a civil case.

“A complaint under crime number 7/2024 under section 341, 447, 323, 324, 506 in addition to IPC section 34 was filed at Puttur rural police station. A counter complaint under crime No. 8/2024 under section IPC 1860, section 323, 324, 504, 506 together with 34 has also been registered in the police station. Investigations into both the cases are in progress. We request the public not to listen to false rumours,” they stated.
