Mangaluru: LCS conducts awareness on ‘Ill Effects of Drugs’

Mangaluru, Dec 20: Lourdes Central School organised a session on ‘Ill Effects of Drugs’ for the students of class 9 on December 19, in AV room under the guidance of the principal Fr Robert D’Souza.

The programme began with a prayer song sung by the school choir. The dignitaries from Kadri police station Yogishwaran, sub inspector and Naresh, beat officer were given a warm welcome. The principal honoured Yogishwaran with a shawl.

Yogishwaran addressed the students of class 9 and asked them a few questions on crime, drugs and mobile phone. He gave the students an awareness on how to follow the law and not to involve in fights. He stressed that because of the negligence of children, the parents face the consequences. He urged the students to think twice before doing something, respect their parents, teachers and elders and avoid doing wrong things. He appreciated the students of Lourdes Central School for having no complaints or any issues of breaking the law. The session ended with the vote of thanks.
