Mangaluru: Carmel School organizes educational trips

Mangaluru, Dec 20: The month of December brought an enriching wave of educational escapades at Carmel School as students embarked on enlightening journeys from December 8 to 15, guided and accompanied by Sr Lilly Pushpa, the principal, Dr Sr Prem D’Souza, the administrator and Sr Premal - the vice principal and mentors each class delved into various facets of science and innovation, expanding their horizons in ways textbooks could never emulate.

Kindergarteners delighted in a whimsical trip to Gandhi Park, revelling in playful learning amidst the park's vibrant ambiance. Meanwhile, students from grade 1, 2, and 3 explored the captivating allure of Thannirbhavi, indulging in a fascinating expedition that underlined the mysteries of diverse trees and their multifaceted uses, fostering a deep appreciation for nature.

Venturing further, grade 4 and 5 undertook an enthralling adventure to Pilikula, where the wonders of the planetarium, zoo encounters, and enchanting scientific displays at the science centre left them in awe. Simultaneously, students of grade 6, 7, 8, and 9 set out on an immersive outing to Manipal. This entailed a journey through history at the heritage village, majestic Salumarada Thimmakka Tree Park and study of culture and artifacts at the museum, broadening their horizons with varied experiences. Grade 10 students chose Vismaya to be the picnic spot offering complete and pristine entertainment, enjoyment, thrill and ecstasy.

On the whole the educational trips acted as a catalyst, igniting a passion for discovery that promises to shape students’ academic pursuits and future endeavours.
