Chavez in Good Health After Chemotherapy

Caracas, Sep 4 (IANS/EFE): Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said that after finishing his third round of chemotherapy his health was "perfect".

"I'm going strong," said Chavez, as he left the Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital in Caracas Friday.

The president said he had entered the hospital weighing 87.2 kg and left weighing 88.5 kg.

Flexing his muscles and going through his exercise routine, Chavez said he was "very motivated".

A doctor said the president "is feeling in good shape, not only in his state of mind but physically".

"My soul is full of light, of life, and my body is too," the president said.

Chavez was admitted last Saturday to the military hospital where he received chemotherapy to continue the cancer treatment he began in Havana, Cuba.

The president first spoke of his illness in June when he revealed that he had been operated in Cuba to have a cancerous tumor removed.
