Udupi: Kaup Diwakar Shetty conferred with Sahakara Rathna award

Udupi, Nov 21: Kaup Diwakar Shetty, director of Karnataka State Milk Federation Bengaluru, director and former chairman of DK Milk Union Mangaluru and present chairman of Kaup CA bank was awarded with Sahakara Rathna Award by the state government.

The felicitation was held during the 70th All India co-operative week state level programme held at Vijayapura on November 20.

The chief minister Siddaramaiah presented the award and felicitated Kaup Diwakar Shetty.

Diwkar Shetty has been a long-time director of DK milk union Mangaluru and also served as the president of the union for two terms. He is also the founder of Uliyargoli milk producers union and is serving as president for 33 years. He is also a promoter of Bengaluru Nandini Ksheera Samruddhi bank.

Currently, he is serving as the president of Kaup CA bank, vice president of Kaup Hosa Marigudi Development Committee.

He was awarded with state level best Sahakri award, best Dairy Farmer award, and international level Aryabhata award.

Diwakar Shetty also served as the president of DK milk union, president of Kaup Yojana Pradhikara, president of alumni association of Kaup Dandatheertha Institutions, as trustee of Kaup Janardhana temple and Kaup third Marigudi, president of Uliyargoli panchayat, advisory member of South Railway and DK district telecom committee, and State Karavali Development Authority.
