Mangaluru: Unique Men's Day celebrations held at Bondel church

Mangaluru, Nov 20: The ICYM Bondel unit organised International Men’s Day celebration at St Lawrence Church, Bondel on November 19.

The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass. Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza, parish priest, was the main celebrant. Fr Valerian Mendonca SJ and Fr Theodore Rosario Pinto concelebrated the Mass.

 

 

After the Mass, a short felicitation programme was conducted by ICYM members. Prakash C N Pinto, Valerian D’Silva, Lawrence Robert D’Silva, Dr Suraj Francis Noronha, Alrick Livian D'Silva, Wilfred Alvares, Fr Theodore Rosario Pinto and Lt Col Grecian Sequeira from different fields from Bondel parish were felicitated with a shawl, flowers, and memento.

Caroline Pinto, Melinda D’Souza, Minal Monteiro, and Primal Sequeira introduced the men who had been felicitated.

Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza addressed the gathering, acknowledging the commitment of dedicated men and their selfless service in different fields.

Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Fr Peter Gonsalves, director of the ICYM Bondel unit, Fr Lancy D’Souza, assistant parish Priest, and Fr Valerian Mendonca SJ, animator Zeena Cornelio were present.

The programme concluded with a Thanksgiving hymn.
