Puttur, Nov 19: Police have arrested the accused who hurled stones on them under the influence of drugs.
Harish, a resident of Badagannur Mundole is the accused who has been arrested by the police. Shivaprasad, personnel of Puttur traffic police station is the person who was assaulted by the accused.
Cop Shivaprasad was holding an inquiry with a woman near the mini Vidhana soudha on November 16 based on a public complaint. Harish, husband of the woman, arrived on the spot and hit the cop with a stone and injured him.
Police arrested accused Harish based on the complaint filed by cop Shivaprasad. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
