    The Holy Family Konkani Catholic Association, Ramamurthynagar, Bengaluru celebrated the Monthi Fest-2023 with grandeur. Little Children and elders all venerated the Bambino of the Blessed Virgin Mary for 09 days with Novena prayers, Rosary and singing of Marian Devotional hymns in Konkani. Many parishioners belonging to other language communities like Tamil, Malayalam, Kananda, etc also joined the Konkani Community in venerating the bambino. On the feast day, a huge gathering assembled at the Parish Church at around 08.30am. The feast day commenced traditionally with the blessing of the paddy by Fr. Rolphy Fernandes and Fr. Alex Antony. This was followed by the veneration of the Bambino and a procession inside the church. Fr.Rolphy Fernandes and Fr.Alex Antony offered the mass for the faithful on the feast day. President of the association Shri Nelson Almeida, then delivered the presidential address and expressed gratitude to all the priests, nuns, sacrastian and the members of the association for their support and co-operation in the successful organising of the event. We community was pleased to have been able to pass on the tradition to the generation next living in today's electronic world. The association also felicitated meritorious children of the association for the excellence in SSLC and PUC exams. Shri Aldon Almeida was felicitated for his excellence in the 10th Std CBSE board exams. Fr. Susai Raj the parish priest of the Holy Family Church Ramamurthynagar applauded the contribution of the Konkani speaking community to the parish. He expressed his happiness observing the discipline and spirituality of the Konkani speaking Catholics. Fr.Susai Raj, Fr. Alex Antony, Fr.Rolphy, Sr. Rositta, Shri George were felicitated by the association. Sugarcane, snacks and sweets were distributed to all the faithful who participated in the feast day service. :- President, HFKCA, Ramamurthynagar

    Though I belong this parish I did not have an opportunity to participate in the Monthi festh celebration in this church so far.I tried to attend the feast this year but attended in Palotti church.Heard the Monthi festhachem mees and Fula udovnchem ceremony went on well.I congratulate the president and committee members of Konkani Association of Holy Family Church all the good wishes.

    I on behalf of the HFKCA Ramamurthynagar thank you for your words of appreciation. We just not had the feast day celebrations but also had Novena and floral veneration for all the nine days.
