Dubai, Sep 2: The ticket release event of the UAE premiere shows of the Tulu movie ‘Rapaata’ directed by Arjun Kapikad who is also the protagonist of the movie, was held recently. The story and screenplay of the movie is written by Dr Devadas Kapikad.
Entrepreneurs of UAE and office bearers of Tulu and Kannada organizations of UAE were present in the programme that was held in the auditorium of Marco Polo hotel in Dubai.
The programme began with the lighting of a lamp. Lead actor Arjun Kapikad, Sachin Shetty (Shutter Box Films) and Sandeep Kumar (production manager) were present.
Addressing the gathering, Arjun Kapikad said, “We will give a good movie to the public by the blessings of elders. We are sure that Tuluvas will definitely support a good movie. Hence, we are releasing ‘Raapata’ in UAE on September 9-10. All have to watch this movie and make it a big hit.”
Chief guests of the occasion were president of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha Sarvotham Shetty, entrepreneur and film producer Harish Sherigar, entrepreneur and film producer Ronald Martis, Dr David Frank Fernandes, Joseph Mathias, Harish Bangera, Eshwardas Shetty, Satish Poojary, president, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, office bearers of Dubai Karnataka Sangha Manohar Hegde, Daya Kirodian, Shashidhar Nagarajappa, Manohar Tonse of Billavas Abudhabi, Sudhakar Rao Pejawara of Bhramana Samaja, Bala Salian of Mogaveera Samaja, James Mendonsa, Vinod Ullal, members of Duabi Gammath Kalavider Vishwanatha Shetty, Suvarna Satish Poojary, Jayashree Shetty, Ravi Kotian, Varadaraja Shettigar and Mallikarjun Gowda were present.
The CD and poster of the song and tickets were released by the guests. Shaila Raj Poojary, one of the producers of ‘Raapata’ and Devika Acharya welcomed the gathering. Rajesh Kuthar compered the event. A musical entertainment programme was held by talented singers of the UAE.
The premiere shows of ‘Raapata’ will be held in theatres of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah on September 9 and 10.
Organizers and OMG Dubai, Shree San Poojary, Rajesh Kuthar, Girish Narayan, Rajaneesh Ameen, Dhananjaya Shettigar, Prakash Pakkala and Sachin Kumar, who are shouldering the responsibility of releasing the movie in the UAE said to the media that cine viewers are waiting for ‘Raapata’ which has renowned actors of the Tulu film world.
The premiere show of the movie will be held in Star Galleria Cinemas Deira, Nova Cinemas Ibn Batuta Mall in Dubai, Star Cinemas of Abu Dhabi and Novo Cinemas Sahara Center Sharjah.
