Islamabad, Jul 30 (IANS): Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that a conducive environment needs to be created so that the pace of foreign investment in the country picks up.

Gilani Friday directed the Board of Investment (BoI) to bring to his notice any hindrances in the process of new investments.

The prime minister said all measures should be taken to create conducive environment so that the pace of domestic and foreign investment can be accelerated, Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

The investment policy should be made more practical by involving the private sector, provincial governments and all stakeholders, he said.

The role of the private sector in the public-private dialogue should also be facilitated, Gilani said.
