Kasargod, Jun 8: In a shocking revelation it has come to light that Dr G K Pallavi, a resident of Kanneppadi near Badiadka, who hanged herself on June 6 at home, took the extreme step as she was distraught by the fact that she was removed from rural service. This fact was unearthed by the police during the investigation.

Pallavi wrote a death note to parents, which said, “I am dejected before death. Do not want to continue my life. Forgive me mom and dad.”

Dr Pallavi also called one of her friends the night before her death and said, “I am dejected in life and feel that this kind of life is not required. I will not call you in future. If I do not call you, please visit my house and check.”

Mortal remains of Dr Pallavi were consigned to flames near her house after the post mortem was conducted at Kasargod district general hospital.
